Overflow Log

Logging of accumulation and discharge events in the stormwater overflow basin

The “Overflow Log” add-on is used to record and log backflow and discharge events as well as discharged water volumes in stormwater overflow basins (RÜB). Monthly and annual analyses can be created in PDF and TSV format. To recognise events, the add-on requires the water level in the stormwater overflow basin. This must be provided by the site to which the addon has been added.

Discharged water quantities can be calculated separately for clarifier overflow and basin overflow using the following methods:

  • based on the water level using the Poleni formula

  • on the basis of the water level using the support point table

  • on the basis of any measuring channel provided by the site by means of an interpolation point table

Note: In order for the “Overflow Log” add-on to be available on your platform instance, it must be activated once. Please contact office@microtronics.com for this purpose

Added value through the logging of the operating behaviour of stormwater overflow basins

  • Fulfilment of legal requirements

  • Proof of proper system operation

  • Recognising undesirable operating states (e.g. backflow)

  • Basis for subsequent analyses in the event of malfunctions and damage

  • Data basis for the optimisation and further development of the drainage system

  • Basis for deriving measures to protect water bodies and the environment

Add an add-on to a site:

  • Open the site
  • Click on the “+” symbol in the title bar
  • Select the desired add-on in Wizards
  • Follow the instructions of the wizard
  • Click on the “Create add-on” button

A new button has been added to the title bar in front of the “+” symbol and selected immediately. It opens the input mask for configuring the add-on.

You can find out exactly what add-ons are and how they extend the functionality of a site here.

With the runtime calculator you can estimate the autonomous runtime of the application as well as the costs incurred. The actual costs and energy consumption depend on the measurement conditions, such as the reception quality and ambient temperature. Detailed information on the tariffs can be found here.
