Data processing, purposes and legal bases

Video surveillance

• Takes place: temporally unrestricted, on the outdoor premises
• Personal processed data: Identifiable physical characteristics, period of presence
• Purpose(s):
  • Visual control of company premises, for information security reasons
  • Evaluation and development of camera systems for customers under valid outdoor conditions, highly restricted in location and without retention
• Recipient group: Microtronics operations, Microtronics development
• Legal basis: Legitimate interest

Visitor registration

• Takes place: Per appointment, by the respective host Registration is necessary for the visit
• Processed personal data: Names and company affiliation of visitors
• Purpose(s):
  • Visitor management, to track visits as part of information security measures
• Recipient(s): Microtronics Facility Management
• Legal basis: Legitimate interest

If further temporary measures are necessary, for example to safeguard your health and that of employees, you will be informed when you make an appointment or on site.

Third Party Processing and Third Party Software

Microtronics uses the following processors within the meaning of the GDPR in the context of this offer:

Data transfer to third countries

The validity of the General Data Protection Regulation also extends beyond the European Economic Area (EEA), and thus Liechtenstein, which is why the same standards apply there as for European partners as defined by the EU.

Where explicit consent is requested, a transfer to third countries, esp. the USA, cannot be ruled out due to the internal functioning of third-party services.

Existing agreements that existed for legally secure transfers to the USA, such as the so-called “Privacy Shield”, have now been declared insufficient. As a consequence, this may mean that government institutions there will have access to your personal data in the interests of the USA. Regardless of whether this is also in your interest, our interest or the interest of our order processor acting there.

We will react to this in that we will

  • As far as possible, only allow such transfers with explicit consent (cookie opt-in).
  • Preferably choose European processors
  • Otherwise, obtain packages with guaranteed European hosting, which limits the penetration possibilities of third countries accordingly
  • When choosing our processors, ensure high standards of information security and, where possible, explicit guarantees to this effect.
