Innovation award for data acquisition and sensor supply in the ATEX zone

At the Lower Austrian Innovation Award 2022, the myDatalogEx was recognised with a commendation in the Digitalisation/KI category. Powering, sensing and transmitting 4-20mA sensors in the hazardous ATEX environment is the USP of the myDatalogEx. The unit is configured on the comprehensive web portal and the data is available.

In municipal water and wastewater plants, in well and groundwater monitoring, in rainwater overflow basins through to sewage and industrial plants, increased requirements are placed on the electronic devices used with regard to explosion protection (ATEX zone). For convenient and resource-saving monitoring and optimisation measures, sensors for data acquisition and a corresponding platform for evaluation are excellent tools.

The myDatalogEx with integrated, worldwide data transmission and online platform for evaluating the measured values meets all these needs. With the switchable and adjustable sensor supply, any sensors (radar, ultrasonic, pressure and gas sensors) are operated autonomously in the ATEX zone. For supply, the myDatalogEx feeds up to 22V in 4-20mA loop. The battery in the compact device (106x169x61mm) has a runtime of up to two years.

On the platform, the myDatalogEx is easily configured with just a few clicks and thus adapted to the respective application and the sensor used. Over-the-air changes are made remotely to the configurations of the globally distributed devices. Reporting, evaluations and alarms round off the measuring system for use in harsh environments.

One system, many applications

  • Level monitoring
  • Gas / H2S reporting
  • Flow monitoring
  • Brownfield sensors
  • Monitor and control
  • Indirect discharger control

Market success

Satisfied customers marvel at the simplicity and compactness of the system. Within minutes, 4-20 mA green and brownfield sensors are connected to the myDatalogEx, configured via the integrated platform and data is transmitted. The display on the myDatalogEx also shows the current values directly on site.

It has never been so easy to supply sensors in the ATEX zone and transmit the values via mobile radio. Measurement and transmission cycles, hystereses, alarm thresholds and more are configured easily and conveniently from a distance.

With the myDatalogEx, the extremely simple configuration and the integrated operation of the platform, Microtronics also enables small and medium-sized companies to implement digitisation applications efficiently and profitably.

Stop the Hydrogen Sulphide: H2S Monitoring including Dosing Control

Hydrogen sulphide can occur around the sewage and sewer system. If the concentration is too high, H2S is even dangerous. You can read here which areas are negatively affected by the colourless gas.

If one knows about the dangers, countermeasures can be taken in time. H2S monitoring with integrated dosing control is the ideal solution here.

Maximise the Runtime of your Devices

The runtime of industrial battery-powered devices is an aspect that plays a relevant role in terms of efficiency and sustainability. If the devices are located in places that are difficult to access, such as in a canal, a device-lifelong runtime is an enormous increase in efficiency – not only for the devices, but also for the employees who maintain and support the systems.
