Cross-border Monitoring of Photovoltaic Systems

What's the solution about?

UTK EcoSens GmbH deals with the Germany-wide and partly cross-border monitoring of solar plants. The lack of internet connectivity and power supply at on-site solar facilities is a major challenge.

The self-sufficient operation of myDatalogEASY IoTmini (formerly myDatalogEASY V3) solved these challenges. Two pyranometers measure the incoming solar radiation, two irradiance sensors record the temperature. For worldwide use, the data is transmitted via mobile radio.

In case of a technical malfunction, a failure of the system or an out-of-range condition, the alarm is sent by SMS or e-mail. In the sense of predictive maintenance, faults are detected immediately, and not at the maintenance interval. The permanent online data availability ensures an overview of the overall condition of all plants.
