GNSS receiver for precise positioning

The compact expansion module enables precise positioning using global navigation satellite systems (GNSS). It is installed in the terminal compartment of the myDatalogEASY IoT and connected directly to the RS232 interface. The module is suitable for all applications in which a higher level of accuracy is required than can be achieved with GSM cell localisation.

To ensure correct functioning, the myDatalogEASY IoT must be installed in such a way that the GPS antenna (top of the GPS extension) has a clear line of sight to the sky. Which of the supported navigation satellite systems (Galileo, GPS, GLONASS or BeiDou) is used is determined by the IoT app used.

Important note:

  • The GPS extension must always be ordered together with the myDatalogEASY IoT It cannot be retrofitted by the customer.

  • The GPS extension cannot be installed together with the potential equalisation and cable trap.

  • The RS232 interface is occupied by the GPS extension. The GPS extension can therefore not be installed together with extension modules that also require the RS232 interface.
