Home » Product Overview » Pressure compensation clamping tube
Protects the junction between sensor cable and connection cable of the evaluation unit (e.g. data logger) against the ingression of moisture and dust. Thanks to its breathable membrane, the pressure compensation clamping tube is particularly suitable for pressure sensors and level sensors, for which the ambient air pressure is used as reference value (i.e. which have a small air tube in the sensor cable).
Alternatively, a clamping tube without diaphragm can be used.
Protecting cable junctions using the pressure compensation clamping tube
Dismantle cables: single stranded wire 8 mm / cable 35 mm
Gradually shorten or isolate unused wires
Cover cable ends with wire end sleeves
Remove cable gland on one side
Remove terminal block from the tube
Thread cable end through cover nut and cable gland
Connect cable ends via the terminal block
Slide terminal block back into the tube
Screw cable gland on the tube (torque: 3Nm)
Tighten cover nut (torque: 3Nm)
With the help of the runtime calculator, you can estimate the autonomous runtime of the application as well as the costs incurred. The actual costs and energy consumption depend on the measurement conditions, such as the reception quality and ambient temperature. Detailed information on the tariffs can be found here.
