Service technician (measurement technology) for field and office-based roles (m/f/d)

The Customer Support department provides comprehensive support to our customers, from the delivery of measurement systems for energy and water technology, through to successful commissioning and reliable operation, and even fault rectification. As a service engineer, you will work closely with project managers and the measurement systems manufacturing team. You will ensure that our high-quality standards are met on site, enabling our solutions to be used reliably and effectively by customers in the long term.

Your tasks

  • Your role will involve carrying out the delivery and final installation of our measurement systems at the premises of our public-sector customers, as well as replacing components to rectify faults.
  • As part of the Customer Support team, your responsibilities will include assisting customers via online support, ensuring the quality of parameterisation and pre-assembly prior to dispatch, and troubleshooting and carrying out repairs.
  • Thanks to your close contact with customers, you will be involved in continuous improvement alongside the sales, development and manufacturing teams.
  • You work independently and in a self-organised manner, adhering to our high-quality standards for products and services.
  • Your responsibilities will include drawing up assembly reports and helping to produce product-specific documentation.

What you bring with you

  • You enjoy interacting with people and engaging with different cultures in an international setting. You are quality-, customer- and service-oriented. You also value reliability and meeting deadlines.
  • The role involves undertaking fieldwork, accounting for 30–70 per cent of the position, which requires travelling in a service vehicle. Occasionally, this may also require travel to or from the site at weekends or public holidays.
  • A completed qualification in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a comparable field is required.
  • Having several years of professional experience in installation or service work would be advantageous.
  • A structured, solution-oriented and meticulous approach to work; a good understanding of technical matters; and manual dexterity.
  • You will need good written and spoken English to work with our international clients. Knowledge of Italian would be an advantage.
  • Category B driving licence, preferably BE

The minimum salary set out in the collective agreement (KV Metall Gewerbe) is €3,300.16 gross per month for a 38.5-hour working week. Your actual salary will be agreed based on your qualifications and professional experience during the application process.
