Quality Assurance Engineer - Electronics/Software (m/f/d)

As a QA Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting and ensuring the quality of development results as part of the team. You will take a broader view of testing and bring your expertise to the development and qualification process. In this pivotal role, you will be able to specialise in different areas of expertise, from electronics and firmware to connectivity and server software, giving you a broad and varied insight into how our solutions work.

Your tasks

  • Get involved early in the development process, identify necessary qualification steps and ensure testable implementation
  • In continuous co-operation with developers you find ways, to avoid errors in the best possible way right from the start
  • You analyse errors and feed the findings back into development
  • You carry out manual system tests where test automation runs within limits, and write test reports on development results
  • You design and supervise the environment and setups for qualifying the development results

What you bring with you

  • You have a good command of written and spoken German and English
  • You have a sound technical background in the field of electronics and/or software testing
  • You are familiar with agile development methods, the test pyramid, risk-based testing, test automation, CI/CD processes and generally an integrated shift-left approach to qualification
  • You are a team player, self-organised and set your own priorities according to your schedule

The minimum salary according to the collective agreement (KV Metall Gewerbe) is EUR 2,855.52 gross per month, for 38.5 hours per week. Based on your qualifications and professional experience, we will agree your actual salary together during the application process.
