With the ISO/IEC 27001 certification, Microtronics meets the requirements for an information security management system. After 1 ½ years of preparation, the big audit for the ISO/IEC 27001 certification took place at the end of January. After successful completion of this, we now proudly hold the certificate in our hands.
Relevance for customers
“During the projects with our customer, know-how and expertise are exchanged. Among other things, we work with system owners in the area of critical infrastructure and we are part of the business-relevant areas of our customers. Trustworthy handling of information and ISO/IEC 27001 certification are therefore close to our hearts”, says Hans-Peter Buber, CEO Microtronics, underlining the relevance of security in an increasingly digital world.

A figure of just over 80 companies in Austria and 36,400 companies worldwide are certified to ISO/IEC 27001. Microtronics Engineering GmbH now counts itself among them.[1] The entire company is evaluated regarding the management of information security. The certification does not refer to a single product.
Anchored in the organization
“In the course of the certification according to ISO/IEC 27001 the subject area of information security was anchored organisationally by setting up a management system in order to be able to deal with corresponding external and internal interests in the best possible way and in the long term,” explains Klaus Potzmader, CISO Microtronics.
