What's the solution about?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The NETSE project<\/strong> stands for u<\/strong>ser-orientated d<\/strong>evelopment of t<\/strong>echnologies and s<\/strong>ervices for e<\/strong>nergy communities and is researching innovative solutions to drive forward the energy transition collectively.<\/p>\n

Since 2021, the Renewable Energy Expansion Act (EAG) has made it possible to sell or swap electricity between neighbours. It creates the legal framework for the establishment of renewable energy communities. <\/p>\n

Together with various research and industry partners, the Institute for Sustainability and the Department of Consumer Science at the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt at the Wieselburg campus researched the needs of potential members of energy communities. A particular focus was placed on the requirements for communication interfaces in order to integrate photovoltaic systems, battery storage systems and electric charging stations into an energy community, for example. In addition, topics such as the optimal planning of energy communities and their organisational forms were also researched.<\/p>\n

An energy community was founded in Wieselburg as a use case for the application-oriented research project.<\/p>\n

The NETSE project was an important contribution to strengthening Wieselburg as a centre of excellence for sustainable and innovative solutions in the field of future-proof energy systems. It was funded over a period of two years by the Climate and Energy Fund as part of the City of Tomorrow programme<\/a>.<\/p>\n
