These three coreelements complement each other to create value. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The smart components extend the functionality andvalue of the physical components. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The components for providing connectivity increase the functionality and benefits of the smart components and enable the execution of smart functions outside the actual product.<sup><a href=\"#zitat1\">[1]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The physical components are the electrical and mechanical assemblies of the product.<sup><a href=\"#zitat1\">[1]<\/a>&nbsp;<\/sup>In a car, for example, these would be the gears of the transmission, the brake discs and the cable form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1066\" src=\"https:\/\/microtronics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/grundlagen-smart-vernetztes-produkt.jpg\" alt=\"Grundlegender Aufbau eines smarten, vernetzten Produkts\" class=\"wp-image-3377\" srcset=\"https:\/\/microtronics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/grundlagen-smart-vernetztes-produkt.jpg 1600w, https:\/\/microtronics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/grundlagen-smart-vernetztes-produkt-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/microtronics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/grundlagen-smart-vernetztes-produkt-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/microtronics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/grundlagen-smart-vernetztes-produkt-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/microtronics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/grundlagen-smart-vernetztes-produkt-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/microtronics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/grundlagen-smart-vernetztes-produkt-1536x1023.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/microtronics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/grundlagen-smart-vernetztes-produkt-600x400.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1600px) 100vw, 1600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Smart components<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The smart components include the sensors, data storage, microprocessors, firmware\/software, embedded operating systems and extended user interfaces.<sup><a href=\"#zitat1\">[1]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the example of a car this would include the control unit of the automatic transmission, the ABS control and the touch display of the navigation system. In the course of the digitalisation of products, hardware functions are increasingly being replaced by software. Every physical component whose replacement by software brings a commercial advantage will be replaced.<sup><a href=\"#zitat1\">[2]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In passenger cars, conventional pointer instruments are already being replaced by colour displays. The displays can thus be individually adapted via software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Connectivity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The components for connectivity include antennas, interfaces and communication protocols to establish wired or wireless connections with the product. Connectivity performs two tasks. On the one hand, it enables the exchange of information between the product and its environment, which includes the manufacturer, the user and other products and systems. On the other hand, connectivity also allows individual functions to exist outside of the physical product in the product cloud.<sup><a href=\"#zitat1\">[1]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In voice recognition services, for example, the smartphone is used to receive voice commands and display the results, but the actual analysis is performed on a server. The smart components are the temperature sensor and the smart, connected Wicell measuring system, which is attached to the thermal trough.
