Developing and testing IoT apps in a real environment

Demo IoT apps are available for the rapidM2M T32x. Asset tracking, a time meter based on the retrofit principle or the Access Technology Explorer are installed over-the-air on the unit with just a few clicks. In addition, the associated templates and evaluations are available on the web platform. Alternatively, own applications are created in the web-based IDE rapidM2M Studio based on the examples and with numerous libraries.

Extensive sensor technology

The rapidM2M T32x has a temperature and 3-axis acceleration sensor. The position is determined with GNSS. Libraries are available for the sensor technology and the interfaces.

Energy consumption monitoring

The low power consumption enables applications with a runtime of around one year. The integrated SoC energy consumption monitoring provides an overview.

Open platform

The open platform enables integration into all systems. Be it through the "easy-to-hack" approach on the hardware level or on the software side via the API interface.

How long does the internal battery last?

The battery has a capacity of 500mAh. A term of one week to one month is thus realistic. The actual battery life depends on the IoT app used. Measurement, recording and transmission interval significantly influence the battery life.

 

Can the raw sensor data be accessed?

Yes. The Device API allows access to the x,y,z and ACC values as well as the rotation rate. An LSM6DSOX sensor is installed in the rapidM2M T32x.

A Basic Example Collection is available in the rapidM2M Studio. In addition, you have access to the source code of the “T32X Acceleration GPS Tracker” and other ready-made examples in the rapidM2M Studio.

 

Can an external battery be used with the rapidM2M T32x?

Yes. A commercially available power bank can be used via USB-C.
